| 520 | _aThe Lean Six Sigma Workshop describes important and practically relevant methods and tools for optimizing industrial production structures. In addition to theoretical foundations, the book provides extensive hands-on exercise materials with solutions for each method, ensuring application-oriented knowledge transfer. The book particularly assists educators and learners in preparing and conducting entire teaching units, which can be deepened and practically applied through 13 workshops as group activities. The playful application of theory over multiple game rounds enables learners to use the methods in practice and apply gained insights in an industrial setting. Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. J{uml}org Niemann has been a professor at Hochschule D{uml}usseldorf since 2012, specializing in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Production in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering. He is the managing director of the interdisciplinary research institute FMDauto and the founder of the FLiX Research Center for Life Cycle Excellence. His expertise lies in Life Cycle Management and the assessment and optimization of production systems using Lean Six Sigma. Benedikt Reich, M.Sc. mult., studied Industrial Engineering and Business Analytics. He worked for many years at the FLiX Research Center for Life Cycle Excellence at Hochschule D{uml}usseldorf and is currently Head of Digital Solutions Purchase to Pay at Henkel AG & Co. KGaA. His main areas of expertise include optimizing and digitizing purchasing processes. Carsten St{uml}ohr, M.Sc. mult., studied industrial engineering and business analytics. He was a long-standing member of the FLiX Research Center for Life Cycle Excellence at D{uml}usseldorf University of Applied Sciences. Carsten St{uml}ohr works as a data analyst at L'Or{acute}eal Deutschland GmbH. He is responsible for consulting and developing reporting tools for the consumer goods division of the L'Or{acute}eal Group. Carsten St{uml}ohr is also a lecturer at the Hochschule f{uml}ur {uml}Okonomie und Management (FOM) in the fields of mathematics and computer science. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content. | ||
