Abstract: This book presents up-to-date, practically oriented information on major topics in acute hepatitis virus infections. The coverage encompasses epidemiology, diagnosis (including molecular methods), treatment and clinical challenges. In addition, it deals with the epidemiology and management of vir hepatic infections in HIV co-infected patients. The book opens by examining the local and global epidemiology of acute hepatic infections. Detailed attention is then paid to the acute hepatic viruses A, B, C and E. Acute Hepatitis will be of high value for general practitioners and specialists in gastroenterology, infectious diseases, and internal medicine. It will be international in scope in terms of both authorship and appeal.
