Africa at a crossroads, 2018: title page (edited by Dr Trynos Gumbo) page viii (Trynos Gumbo (Dr) is the Head of the Department of Town and Regional Planning (DTRP) in the School of Civil Engineering and the Built Environment (SCEBE), within the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment (FEBE) of the University of Johannesburg (UJ), since 2016. Dr Gumbo has over 13 years of national and international work experience, drawn from teaching, academic research and private consultancy. He specialises in cross-disciplinary areas that are informed by a passion for achieving and ensuring urban sustainability planning, development and management. He holds a PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies from Stellenbosch University (SUN); and a Masters and BSc honours degree in urban and regional planning obtained from the University of Zimbabwe.
