She commenced her academic career at Griffith University in 2011 after working for many years as a school leader, curriculum leader, special educator, early intervention specialist, and behavior analyst in both inclusive and special schools and in home and community settings. In her work in schools, she often led the development of school curriculum and behavior policy and practices, and facilitated the startup of inclusive school programs in early childhood, primary and secondary school settings. Prior to coming to UOW, she has led the development and served as the program convenor for the Autism Studies postgraduate programs at Griffith University. Dr. Webster's research focuses on establishing effective inclusive schools and communities for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families)
