- Información encontrada: (Rodney Milnes; born Rodney Milnes Blumer in Stafford on July 26 1936; died December 4 2015; editor of Opera magazine from 1986 to 1999, and, at various times, opera critic of Harpers & Queen, The Spectator and The Times; read history at Christ Church, Oxford; enjoyed a short-lived career with the publisher Rupert Hart-Davis; during this period he began moonlighting as a journalist, using his middle name as a surname to avoid incurring his employer's wrath; joined Queen (later Harpers & Queen) in 1968, moved to The Spectator in 1979; enjoyed a brief dalliance with the Evening Standard in 1990 and finally pitched up, in 1992, at The Times, where he was chief opera critic for a decade; had been writing for Opera magazine since 1971, succeeding Harold Rosenthal as editor in 1986; retired to Gloucestershire)
