Dr. Seitz is an international expert in the area of alcohol-associated diseases. His clinical expertise and research is focused on alcohol metabolism and its toxicity, on alcoholic liver disease and alcohol-associated carcinogenesis. In this area he has published more than 350 papers and several books. Current research includes studies on the genetic aspects of alcohol-associated diseases, relevant polymorphisms with respect to alcoholic liver disease and alcohol associated cancer.)
